Our story: A Dutch perspective on the Valencian dream
HelloHome Valencia did not start in a corporate office. This page is about HelloHome Valencia, our story, and the mission that led us to create a better buying experience in Spain, a decade of experience and a mission to fix a broken process.
Ten years ago, I was in the same position as you. I fell in love with Valencia’s light, lifestyle and vibrant energy. However, as a Dutchman trying to navigate the Spanish property market, I quickly hit a wall. Like many international buyers today, I faced language barriers, legal complexities and a lack of personal guidance.
The turning point
After years of working in the traditional local real estate industry, I realised there was a fundamental flaw: the buyer was often left unprotected. The industry’s focus on quick sales and high commissions often made international clients feel like ‘just another number’. I knew there was a better way — a way that prioritised trust, transparency and the high Dutch standard of service.
Rather than accepting the status quo, I decided to develop a solution. Armed with my passion for this city and my API & RAICV certification, I joined forces with two like-minded friends to establish HelloHome Valencia.
